The FFGR network: how federation membership complements IFGR training

Training provides competence; belonging to a professional network provides context, continuity and collective standards. These two elements are not interchangeable, but they are deeply complementary. The relationship between IFGR and FFGR is built on precisely this logic: one institution develops the individual professional, the other situates that professional within a structured collective.

FFGR, the French Federation of Grande Remise, federates professionals and operators active in premium passenger transport and related services. Its role is to define shared benchmarks, represent the sector's interests, and create the conditions for a coherent and recognisable professional identity. The federation's network spans multiple countries and covers the full spectrum of the luxury transport and service economy.

For an IFGR-trained professional, FFGR membership is a separate and optional step, not a continuation of the training. The Federation admits its members under its own conditions: an IFGR diploma is not required to apply, and it does not grant membership. For those who choose to join, membership provides access to a community of peers who share the same standards and the same commitment to service quality, and to referral opportunities within the Federation's network.

The two remain independent. IFGR builds the professional foundation: the skills, the posture and the IFGR diploma, a private certification. FFGR, a separate association, offers a collective framework to those of its members who wish to put that foundation to use. Holding an IFGR diploma and joining FFGR are two distinct choices; neither depends on the other.

This complementarity also benefits the sector as a whole. When training and federation work in alignment, the standards they promote reinforce each other. The client of a FFGR member who has trained through IFGR can reasonably expect a consistency of quality that neither institution could guarantee independently.
